Happy Hols!

Yes, I'm de-mob happy as I finish today for two weeks.

But before I go, what about this latest brainwave of charging people £185 to park at work...is it a way of encouraging more people to work from home? If so, is money the only way to change our behaviour? Surely not.

Tony and I have made a drastic change in our shopping habits lately. The reason is because our usual supermarket has stopped stocking what we like, to the point where we stood in an aisle the other week and were stumped as to what to buy. So, we have been shopping locally for more fresh food and stocking up on the non perishables at Makro. Despite our initial fear of having to spend more time going from shop to shop we've actually discovered that Saturdays are now for visiting family and enjoying ourselves rather than fighting our way past prams and other peoples' trolleys to gather our weekly stocks.

So, our habits have drastically changed, which was originally nothing to do with price, and the impact has been more on our lifestyle with our coffers coming in second.

Also, I'll be kicking back for my holiday, safe in the knowledge that I've got enough toilet rolls to last me 'til Christmas!

Thanks from Business Link

This week I received a lovely letter from Business Link North West thanking us for taking part in their Survive and Thrive events across the region, which have engaged with just under 1000 businesses.
Once again, I must thank all those Chartered Marketers that delivered this for me - I cannot do this all on my own!

A quick forewarning: Business Link have intimated that they would like to do more with us so if you are a Chartered Marketer in the North West and want to get involved, don't wait 'til I contact you - let me know!

Lionheart

This week our Chartered Marketers in the North of England have been helping young people taking the Lionheart Challenge - www.fla.uk.com/. This is a great way to give back to the community, which our members find rewarding and enjoyable and I would like to thank them all for their involvement.
I am looking forward to next Monday when I have the honour of being on the judging panel at the prestigious final in Liverpool!
