Week 7: Plant a plant...

This week is all about combatting the increase of carbon dioxide by planting plants/trees.
As it is inclement weather I have been advised by my greenfingered grandad that the heathers I want to plant in my front garden may not survive so I have postponed this for about a month.
It doesn't have to be plants for the garden, they could be house plants but if we have any more our house will be classed as a jungle!
If you can't do either, 52 weeks suggests the following websites www.plantlife.org.uk , www.treesforlife.org.uk (quoted in 'on a roll!' ) and www.woodland-trust.org.uk
These are all super sites, which are inviting and make you want to stay and browse.

And talking of inclement weather, we have had some rain so I think I will be able to water my houseplants from the water butt this weekend!

Hi Diane,

We've just discovered your blog and thought we'd send you our support especially for your green intentions!

Whenever we fly in speakers for events we always use the Oxfam website www.oxfamunwrapped.com to offset our carbon footprint.

The tree planting we've funded is only a small step but if everyone thinks about the impact of their actions perhaps we can go some way towards making the world an environmentally better place.

Keep up the good work with the blog!

Andy & Nicky
